After long process of selection from 3000 entries Union Cabinet of India decided new rupee symbol. This symbol is designed by IIT post graduate D Uday Kumar. Till now we use "Rs" or "Re" in writing denominating Rupees or Rupee respectively.  Some time will require to adapt this change which ranges from computer keyboard symbol, accounting and financi al softwares etc. But this symbol will really helpfull in distinguishing Indian Rupee from the Rupee of other neighboring countries like Nepal, Srilanka and Pakistan which has lower value than Indian Rupee.
